I love y’all sooo much for rescuing these beautiful critters
This dear boy is Noddy, and yes there is a Big Ears. This sweet clever boy self admitted here, to the hospital, moving into one of the empty pens.
Noddy and Big Ears (he has had ringworm in the past, I suspect, which has left his ears prominant and stiffened) have been frequent visitors to my garden, both courting Belina, an ex-patient who has decided to stay in the grounds.
Noddy, like a lot of male hedgehogs this time of year, has been so busy chasing girls he's not been eating well and has picked up a whole set of internal parasites - lungworm, roundworm and fluke.
Although I don't recognise sweet gentle Noddy, he seems to know me, so it's likely he was a baby who was raised here at some point in the past.
