Two teenagers have been arrested in different US states over a plot to carry out a mass-casualty attack against Congregation Beth Israel, a synagogue in Houston, Texas.
Angelina Han Hicks, 18, of Lexington, North Carolina, and a 16-year-old boy from the Houston area were arrested and charged.
Hicks conspired with two people identified only by their first names, “Angel” and “Teegan,” to “kill as many Jews as possible” by driving a vehicle through a congregation at the synagogue.

For law enforcement: When dealing with a potential suicide bomber, don’t let removing a shirt become the end of the search.
The entire person and clothing need to be considered. Explosives can be sewn into pants including inside pockets, hidden in waistbands, or concealed in underwear. If there is a dead bystander or even attacker, first assume the body may be booby trapped.
This isn’t a criticism of the officers pictured as they are damn heroes. It’s a reminder of the threat and the importance of a complete, methodical search when dealing with fedayeen attackers and suicide bombers.
Don’t just think suicide vest in the traditional sense. Think about where an attacker could conceal something.

Someone saw THREE suspicious vehicles heading toward the air base and called police. Someone saw something that didn't look right and said something.
You don't have to know you're looking at a terrorist. You don't have to know what they're planning. You just have to recognize when something doesn't make sense and make the call. Make law enforcement do their jobs and figure out the rest.
