More than 21 million people are facing crisis, emergency, or catastrophic levels of hunger. Millions are not able to eat every day. The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) has officially confirmed famine conditions in parts of North Darfur, including the massive Zamzam camp for internally displaced people. Multiple other regions across Darfur and Kordofan are on the brink of a full-blown starvation catastrophe. An estimated 825,000 children under five are expected to suffer from Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM). The scale of human suffering in UAE’s war on the country, now in its fourth year, according to the IRC accounts for over 10% of the entire world's global humanitarian need.

American military presence globally has been normalised by the mainstream media; it sets the baseline of subconscious status quo acceptance. It needs to be exposed. It is not normal. It is historically unprecedented. The U.S. has initiated more military interventions than any other country. It is a nation “addicted to military interventions.” That’s fact. Its wars since 2001 have killed millions and left countless more displaced. That’s not normal. But it’s fact. It’s little wonder that anyone with the capability would seek to scale & modernise their defence. The U.S. has form. Let’s not be blinded to this empirical reality.
