A high school volleyball player says she feels blindsided both on the court and inside the locker room after learning a transgender student was competing with girls and using the girls’ changing area. “All of us girls do our normal things. We get undressed, unconsciously trusting our friends next to us.” She says finding out days later changes how she views a space where she and her teammates expected privacy. “It feels as if our protection was just stripped away from us. And they don't care."
