Seen it much more commonly in non-fiction.
Why is it you don't really see parentheses in fiction writing? People slap hyphens and em dashes and semicolons all over the place, but parentheses? Nowhere to be found, not in these parts! Is this a style thing or is it one of the unspoken Writing Rules? #writngcommunity
