If there’s one thing I want this year, is to end it with telling God I never knew you planned to surprise me this big.

There is this shop opposite my compound. The man sells foodstuffs. He bought some bags of rice and beans, sold some, and then woke up one morning and discovered that they had robbed his shop. He called a welder to create a different style of lock that they could use to secure the shop after that. This man went back to the market and bought plenty of goods again. I’m talking about more than 50 bags of rice and some bags of beans. He loaded everything inside the shop. When I saw the goods, I was surprised. In my mind, I was like, “This thing will attract more thieves o.” One morning, I came back from my friend’s house and saw people gathered in his shop, I just stood there trying to know what happened, the man woke up to an empty shop. I felt really bad for him because this one was even bigger than the first loss. People were telling him to go and do findings, find out who the thieves were and all that, but the man was just too weak at that point. I think the second loss really got to him. Now, he keeps the goods in his house and only takes a smaller quantity to the shop whenever he needs them.
