@ACTBrigitte Here is my concern with creating new legislation to protect the Constitution from foreign influence. When we write legislation to protect a part or all of the Constitution, we are conceding that the Constitution cannot stand on its own. What we actually have are elected officials that refuse to protect the constitution in its current state. The 1st Amendment actually prevents Sharia Laws from being enacted. Sharia Law is a Law based on an arguable religion. The Constitution through the 1st Amendment clearly states that (Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion)! This applies to every state and within every state. This is a Constitutional Law that prevents all states and the Federal Government from enacting laws that pertain to religious Hierarchy which is exactly what Sharia is. If you write laws to protect the words of the Constitution, you are telling the government that it is inadequate to carry out Constitutional Compliance. Every lawyer from Sea to Shining Sea will challenge this law and at some point, it will be defeated and the Constitution will turn to trash. So no! I do not support any new law that tries to protect our Constitutional Rights. Here is the Document written 250 years ago to protect the Constitution! If it needs to be revived and used...then so be it! That is what will need to happen! Let Freedom Ring!
