My publisher, HarperCollins, is VERY pleased with me, as I have two books currently on ECPA bestseller lists. This is one of them, and it’s on sale big time right now if you’re interested. It also pleases them when I tell you that. The other book is Unoffendable, which is apparently closing in on 500,000 sold. I never expected that. Thank you to anyone who has read these books. I’m truly honored. I hope they were helpful and fun to read.

🚨INCREDIBLE: During a multi-vehicle collision on the Route 90 bridge in Ocean City, Maryland, a 2-year-old girl was ejected from a pickup truck, falling nearly 30 feet into the Assawoman Bay below. Jonathan Bauer, who was driving across the bridge with his teenage daughter when the crash occurred, rushed over to inspect the wreckage. Looking down into the water, he saw the toddler floating face down and becoming unresponsive. Without hesitation, Bauer instructed his daughter to flag down first responders, removed his shoes, and leapt off the bridge into the bay. He swam to the little girl, lifted her onto his shoulder, and patted her back until she coughed up water and began breathing again. A passing pontoon boat quickly navigated toward them, pulling both Bauer and the toddler out of the water and transporting them to shore, where emergency personnel were waiting. The child was airlifted to a regional medical center for evaluation and released the following day in good condition. Bauer was later honored by local law enforcement and civic leaders for his decisive actions and selflessness.

And FYI... at the eight CURE pediatric surgical hospitals in the last year... more than 21,000 kids got life-changing care. Every one of them an amazing story. Every one of them at no cost to parents, in a place such surgeries would never otherwise be accessible. What's more, all the CURE hospitals are training hospitals. Our neurosurgeons in Uganda? They're Ugandans. The hospital in Kenya is entirely staffed by Kenyans. It's brilliant, and I'm honored to get to partner with my brothers and sisters from around the world in making this stuff happen.

At a deep level, I don't respect when people on this app who purport to be "Christian" speak with contempt. Those things are utterly incompatible. They might have interesting or laudable policy positions. They might be insightful in areas. I might agree with their stance on this or that. But, like Paul says in I Corinthians 13, they're ultimately clanging cymbals. Jesus couldn't have been more clear about this in the Sermon on the Mount. He equates contempt with murder. Yet somehow, in the public square, professing believers have decided it's simply what they have to do. It might stretch you a bit as a thinker, but you can make your point decisively, clearly, and pointedly without contempt. If you can't figure out another, better way to engage, maybe have someone help you. People who go with stuff like "morons", "retards", or--just saw this one from @mattwalshblog, for example--"despicable freak"...? What they're doing is not only embarrassing, it's truly missing the point.

I ordered new prescription glasses from @WarbyParker They told me my glasses were coming on Wednesday. I got a text that my glasses were out for delivery, and should arrive before 5:09 pm. I was excited. My glasses did not arrive. They went silent. I tracked the package and it said my glasses were "delayed" and the next day I check and they "returned to client." I checked again today. My glasses are now listed as "undeliverable". I'm wonder this is a Strait of Hormuz thing. Or perhaps a ship sunk and my glasses are at the bottom of the wine-dark sea. At night I feel like the old lady in Titanic and picture my glasses slowly sinking to the ocean floor and Celine Dion is singing and stuff but I just want to see stuff so @warbyparker please send some glasses thx
