Silicon from sand qualifies. If the people stay quiet, these circuits will still testify. Luke 19:40 holds.

This Starlink for Communities idea is legitimately cool. One dish. Neighbors pay by the hour, day, week, or month. The host earns something for providing it. One serious question though: If someone on that shared connection is doing the absolute worst kind of illegal stuff online -- what happens there? Who is accountable? Are these short-term users are actually identified, or if it all just dumps on the person who owns the kit? @Starlink
Big news! SpaceX is introducing a new @Starlink for Communities program that lets you earn money by providing Starlink internet to your neighbors or people nearby, who can pay for access by the hour, day, week, or month. Neighbors pay for the access they need, while the person hosting the Starlink will earn money from every connection. One Starlink Kit can provide high-speed internet to multiple nearby users. Starlink handles payments, user access, and connectivity. Property owners, businesses, local entrepreneurs, etc, simply set up a Starlink Kit where there’s demand and can expand coverage with additional routers or kits. How to get started: • Step 1: Order the Starlink Kit. Your Starlink Kit arrives ready for shared use. Choose a location with multiple homes or users nearby. • Step 2: Place the kit where demand is highest. Starlink gives you clear instructions. • Step 3: Earn income each month Community members connect using flexible hour, day, week, or month passes. You earn from every connection. Anyone who sees an opportunity to bring connectivity to the people around them can participate. Apply here: starlink.com/community-host

For everyone calling for an investigation into the protest that took place in BC this week. Contrary to what you believe, Canada has something called the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and section 2 of the Charter protects freedom of expression and peaceful assembly. That’s exactly what this was. > No violence. > No property damage. > No arrests. Just some men holding a sign that asked a simple question that no one seems to want to answer.

Absolutely incredible.

Been really enjoying @muse since the Canadian launch. Using Grok @bot primarily for the side hustle. Trying out @threads this month too. Figured I'd see more Muse posts since they live in the @meta space. It's definitely… different… than @X. DAMN, the engagement bait is out of hand. "Tell me why I should use Muse." "AI is the worst thing ever." Over and over. So many bots that, honestly, even the non-bots feel like bots.

The one bad thing about @Meta Threads is it's where a lot of users when when they couldn't handle the pressure from @X and the fact people in the world have varying opinions from their own. No emotional intelligence, just feelings. They can't handle anything they don't understand or agree with, so everyone they disagree with must be a bot, a shill, etc.

Timeline on X: People posting videos of dumb shit my Country is doing, its slow decay, and commenting about how it has to stop. Nothing changes. — Timeline on Threads: People posting videos of dumb shit my Country is doing, its slow decay, and commenting about how good it is for everyone. — Just can’t escape it anymore.

I'm a heavy X user, been on there a long time. Made a few new accounts over the years (this for example) but I gotta say… I can post personal stuff for weeks and get 1-2 likes and a few views. I make that same post on Threads and I get real interaction from people. Comments, likes, ect. Not sure what else to do.

I pay Rogers over $600 a month. A family plan of phones, a couple of iPads, wearables, the usual pile. I keep seeing cheaper offers, even for new Rogers customers, so I wanted to jump into chat and ask if they could extend that pricing to a long time, high paying customer. They’ve taken chat away completely. The only option now is their AI bot, and it’s useless. Phone support is a different mess. Transfers between departments keep dropping to a dead line, or you get stuck with someone you can barely understand because of a thick accent. Maybe it’s time to look at other options, but we already know how that story ends in this country. A handful of telecoms. Same playbook. Same runaround. @Rogers @RogersHelps in a world where support should be easier than it’s ever been, why is yours still this bad?

Been waiting for @Muse to arrive in Canada so I could check out all the hype I’ve been seeing everywhere. Finally got access today and DAMN… what a buzzkill. Don’t get me wrong. I can see the appeal for everyday people, especially with the “free” usage, but anything outside of that is pure cope. I connected as many connectors as I could (goodbye years of avoiding Meta, lol) and it still couldn’t even tell what was already connected until I sent it a screenshot of all of them. I’ll keep testing it. Maybe I’m just not exposed to it enough yet. So far it’s lesser than Grok Bot, though it does seem to have some cool features Grok Bot could learn from.

I’m a bit worried that as Canada pushes back in this attempted trade war, that the U.S. could decide to restrict access to frontier AI models. Obviously that’s not on the same level as oil, steel, and all that, but losing access to tools Canadians are increasingly relying on would still be pretty disruptive. What Canadian model options do we have that can actually compete with the big guys? Might be worth downloading a couple of models and getting them running locally, just in case.

Figured I’d try Threads again after the Muse release. Just scrolling and following people on my phone. Account has been suspended twice already. No reasons given. Have had to submit a photo of myself both times to get it active again. @Mosseri @Meta what is this?

Suspended, restored, and suspended again all within the hour for simply scrolling media (duh) and following accounts.
