July 1 marks the start of a new fellowship year. For incoming interventional pulmonary fellows, the learning curve is steep: procedures, staging, guidelines, landmark studies, board review, and the constant need to keep up with new literature. I’ve been building interventionalpulm.com as a free educational resource to help make that learning curve a little more organized. The podcast library now includes 68 journal article episodes, with the majority focused on new studies to help fellows and practicing IPs stay current with the literature. We also just added 15 Landmark Study episodes covering historically important articles every IP fellow should know. More episodes, both new literature and landmark articles, will be added at least monthly. The site also includes IP board review content, TNM-9 staging resources, EBUS training, Nav Bronch, and FluoroView. Nav Bronch is designed to help learners move from CT review to a structured bronchoscopic route, practicing airway path selection, anatomic orientation, and approach planning for peripheral lesions. FluoroView complements that by building the CT-to-fluoro mental model: how airway anatomy projects under fluoroscopy, how C-arm angles change what you see, and how to localize lesions during bronchoscopy. My hope is that interventionalpulm.com becomes a useful starting point for the year ahead: one place to pair the literature with the procedural and cognitive skills that define interventional pulmonology.
