There's so much infrastructure + maintenance that goes into a live Web3 game.
Error tracking, bug fixing, monetisation reports, anti-botting analysis, on-chain forensics, code reviews, penetration testing, load testing, support tools, migrations, partner integrations, analytics....+ an endless list.
1 year ago, we could spend only 30% of our engineering effort on building new mechanics.
These days we are spending 90%+ of our engineering effort building game mechanics. It's been very liberating + motivating to be focussed on building games again.
There is a lot to be said that AI can't yet be used for production ready art + game design, however it is helping with all of the extra baggage technical tasks ๐๐๐
