SOMETIMES I THINK ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO WENT TO WORK ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2001, NOT KNOWING THEY WOULDN’T BE COMING HOME.
Imagine kissing your wife goodbye, dropping your kids off at school, and promising to call later.
Imagine being in the Twin Towers, thinking about lunch, an upcoming meeting, or what you’d do that weekend.
Then, within minutes, everything changes.
Nearly 3,000 people died that day. Thousands of families were left waiting for loved ones who would never walk through their doors again.
That’s what makes 9/11 so heartbreaking to me.
Those people weren’t expecting to become part of history. They were simply living their lives.
Sometimes, the ordinary moments we take for granted are the ones we should cherish the most.
