Everyone tells you the first $10k is the hard one. It is not. It is just the slowest one. Prompt Builder: 6 to 7 months to $10k. Nick Launches: 4 months to $10k. Nothing got easier. The audience, the listings, the habit of posting every morning, all of it carried over. So the honest question: could the next one do $10k in 2 months, or is 4 months already the floor? 👇

A lot of people in SEO now say unlinked brand mentions are the new backlinks. I went looking for the study behind that. I could not find one. What I found: expert opinion, agency frameworks, and Moz saying citations are the new backlinks at MozCon. Credible people, real signal, no sample sizes, no control groups. You can still act on it. Just stop quoting it like it's data.

Semrush ran 230,000 prompts through ChatGPT Search, Google AI Mode and Perplexity to see which domains get cited most. The top names: Reddit, LinkedIn, NIH, Microsoft, and Google's own sites. Community platforms, institutions and big brands. Not the kind of sites most link budgets go to. If you want to get cited, start there.

Semrush checked where ChatGPT Search gets its sources. When it cites a page, that page sits at position 21 or lower in Google almost 90% of the time. That is page 3 and below. Top 10 rankings and AI citations are not the same job.

This solo founder is doing $125k MRR with no team and no funding Read a cool story about Jason, the guy behind Zigpoll (a survey tool for online shops). No cofounder, no VC, no sales team, just him. Took 2 years to get traction, now hes around $125k MRR and going for $2M a year, still solo. what actually worked for him: - no big launch, no viral post, no Product Hunt day. just a few boring channels that quietly compound - Shopify App Store gave him ~1/3 of his signups (pick a platform that does the distribution for you and be the best option there) - word of mouth from agencies is another ~1/4, and its the only channel that gets cheaper as you grow - ~14% of new signups now come from people asking ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini what tool to use. thats a real channel now!!! (AI SEO Works) - his most expensive mistake: he misread who his real customer was for way too long - his one rule: listen to your customers, they know your business better than you do

Most SEO work on your site you dont need to do There is one article on Search Engine Land. It says you should only focus on the technical stuff that brings you money. Thats the priority. Or do the things that will bring money later. Or get your site ready for AI search. Everything else is just "cleaning" the site: making your page load even faster when its already fast enough removing redirects that dont break anything worrying about "crawl budget" on a small site deleting old "meta keywords" that nobody uses anymore updating the disavow file every month for no reason fixing every warning your SEO tool shows you (the tool doesnt know your business)

most people beg AI to "sound like me" and get the same corporate mush. fix it in two lines: 1. paste one real thing you wrote 2. add "don't write like this:" + a generic sentence you hate "unlock your potential" → dead "i lost $2k learning this so...

week 12 of showing up daily: - 5 emails - 2 landing pages - 14 X posts - 1 launch sequence none of it sounded generic. all of it sounded like me. that's the whole game. show up, ship, keep your voice. next week we go again.

everyone's about to make the same "on-brand" landing page with claude design. same layout, same tone, same generic. type "make a landing page" and you get the template. bring your voice, your offer, your buyer's exact words and it stops looking like...

what's the most annoying thing about AI output for you?

your ai isn't generic. your prompt is. "write a post about productivity" gets you cardboard. give it your take, your enemy, your one weird opinion, and it sounds like you. the model was never the problem. fix the input.

stop writing 500-word landing prompts. "write a landing page for my course" → generic saas mush every founder ships. "landing for burned-out designers. one offer: portfolio in a weekend. one action: book the call." → sharp, specific, sounds like...

spent 20 minutes on one prompt this morning. not the copy. the prompt. added who i'm writing to, what they fear, how i actually talk. then hit generate. first line came back sounding like me at 2am ranting to a friend. that's the win. not the tool. the input.
