Quite the timely piece.
Adam Edstrom has been a steady part of Nashville's offense to this point. At 5v5, he leads the team with 8 shots, 1.53 xGF, 10 scoring chances, & 8 high-danger chances. One of MacFarland's additions is proving to play a big role. READ🔗: tinyurl.com/mv7v5m9y

My fellow Americans: Please direct your attention to this matter for just a moment. Allow this to sink in. The President of the United States of America just said he wants to ban the free press. He said he doesn’t want them in his office, which by the way is the Oval Office in the People’s House. This is unheard of, and we the people cannot let this be! For the record, we have a free press in this country. For the record we should all be worried not just about this latest outburst, but by all of it going forward without permission — putting our service members in harms way, raising tariffs willy nilly, threatening buildings and institutions unless his name gets put on them. This is not the behavior of a centered leader who is focused on the good of the people. This is not the behavior of a compassionate leader focused on the millions of Americans who cannot afford healthcare, childcare, gas, or food. This is not the behavior of a man who can emotionally regulate himself. We should all be concerned — those who voted for him and those who didn’t. The midterms are around the corner. Vote like your life and the lives of others are at stake, because they are. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

A few additional thoughts on @EWErickson's important piece. 1. The racist infection of evangelicalism has been going on for some time, and the people who called it out earlier were often mocked, harassed, and chased out of churches. 2. Evangelical institutions have done virtually nothing to resist this scourge. In fact, they've often been led by the nose by the racists, yielding to them in the name of "unity" (I know this by personal experience). 3. Lots of people who've been despised for allegedly "deconstructing" didn't deconstruct at all. Instead they were slandered by racists, and other evangelicals didn't lift a finger to defend them (or exhibit the slightest curiosity about the truth). 4. The evangelical church has been so primed to defend itself against "wokism" or "leftism" that, at best, it was willfully blind. At worst, it made common cause with vile people because they feared leftists outside the church more than they feared moral corruption inside its walls. 5. This is not something that happened to the church. It's something that the church often welcomed, facilitated, and refused to resist, even when their cruelty was obvious to everyone, including the "good pastors who aren't like that." 6. Better late than never, but the hour is indeed quite late.

Donald Trump is the most corrupt president we've ever had, and it's not even close.
BREAKING: Donald Trump made nearly 29,000 securities trades in 17 months, more than every member of Congress combined, per Bloomberg. The stock-purchasing ban he’s pushing would also leave him exempt.

And so here we are. This statement from Trump blows my mind. That a sitting president would not let any renovations to a public building go on unless he gets to first put his name in the said building… What a sad state of affairs. What a tragedy. Actually, how small minded, how narcissistic. Actually great men, devoted to public service and the public good do not act like this. It seems that this man will not rest until his name is permanently connected to the name of a great president, whose memory this building was dedicated to. Imagine spending your time and your days focused on this, as everyday Americans struggle with healthcare, gas prices, rent, and food. Imagine spending your days focused on this, while a war rages under your leadership. Enough said. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
