big influencers about this administration's efforts to round up America's wild horses for slaughter.
It was always part of Project 2025.
They want to get rid of them all.
There are rescue groups like @WildCorp who have been fighting this battle for years.

Update: 19 y/o Kahlua (left)was in much worse condition than 11 y/o Captain that is blind in his right eye. They have both gained weight on their special diet & on the mend Captain loves pets from Lori but Kahlua though curious is not ready to trust yet & takes time #wildhorses

Support wildlife conservation, and art!
I wrote an article about the current U.S. administration's July 10 change to the definition of "harm" under the Endangered Species Act. This change removes habitat destruction and modification from the definition and allows for critical wildlife habitat to now be used for activities such as drilling, mining, and development. I hope you'll take a few minutes to read it and learn more about this issue. (link below)

I'm also building a living CC0 Conservation Journal, where this article and future pieces will be freely available, along with downloadable photographs, PDFs, and links to organizations taking action. This may take me a bit, but I am excited to share as I create this.
