🇯🇵 JPYSC Takes Another Step Toward On-Chain Japanese Finance Startale, together with the SBI Group, is advancing the development of JPYSC, a yen-denominated stablecoin designed to maintain a 1:1 value with the Japanese yen. On September 7, 2026, SBI Shinsei Trust Bank and SBI VC Trade announced that ¥1 billion of JPYSC’s trust assets has begun being managed through short-term Japanese Government Bonds (JGBs). Why does this matter? Japan’s regulatory framework has expanded the ways stablecoin reserve assets can be managed beyond traditional bank deposits, allowing certain short-term government bonds to be used.
