President Trump was right. The media has been lying to you. This weekend, Afrikaners and friends planted 3,000 white crosses in front of the Washington Monument, displaying the names of people murdered during farm attacks in South Africa. Many of these killings included horrific torture and in many cases political motives were obvious. For decades, our attempts to raise awareness were met with deafening silence... until President Trump spoke out. When he did so, he was viciously attacked and called a liar. When we campaign against this ongoing crisis, we are told that WE are the problem. We are grateful for the support we have received from the United States Government. We have a right to live and prosper in South Africa, because this is our home. We have a right to be free.

We planted 3,000 crosses in Washington, D.C. Every cross carries the name of a person killed in a farm attack in South Africa. I refuse to leave them alone. These people deserve Freedom.

For a long time it felt like we were alone — like we would have to face the darkness by ourselves. We were in the deepest hole imaginable. Just before we reached the abyss, thousands of hands reached down and said: “We will help. We have seen what was happening for too long. Enough is enough.” I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. I will be a proud American until my dying day. I pray things change for those who stay behind. Yesterday, Dr. @ErnstRoets premiered his new film before a closed audience at the White House. Today, Afrikaner leaders are in Washington. Tomorrow, the White Cross Memorial comes to the National Mall in DC. Now comes the most important part: turn attention into action. The goal for Volkstaters should be to make Afrikaner self-government a legitimate subject of American diplomacy. That means seeing up a special envoy for: • Congressional hearings • A formal diplomatic dialogue with Pretoria • A detailed, peaceful and constitutional Volkstaat proposal • A viable economic and governance plan • Explicit protection for everyone living within the proposed territory. The Washington moment should not end with the crosses coming down. It should begin a sustained international process toward peaceful, negotiated Afrikaner self-government. Turn remembrance into a roadmap, guys!
