True story, last night I ordered pizza on
@UberEats from
@canerosso in Dallas spent about $150 and tipped $15 for it (generally tip additional if delivery person is really good post delivery).
So I get my order 5 boxes of pizza and 2 orders of cookies. The girls who delivered it went through 4 boxes of pizza and ate half of each of them and threw the crust back in the boxes and ate one of the orders of cookies.
I contacted
@UberEats to handle this, instead of handling this directly myself with the delivery people (I’m a fit 6’4” 225lbs male and it’s 2 females so it was not appropriate for me to handle it personally with them) and
@UberEats not only didn’t do anything with the delivery people; but told me they wouldn’t issue me a refund as it isn’t their issue (see picture of their response in post). So the drivers made a tip, ate my food, uber made their fees, and I had to pay $172.63 so this could happen (even after I sent
@UberEats a picture of one of the boxes showing they ate the food as evidence).
I am an
@AmericanExpress platinum card member and as such my
@UberEats membership is paid for and I get a monthly credit of $15 to spend with them. I will be contacting
@AmericanExpress to dispute this charge as I feel completely violated, it’s not even about the money, it’s how
@UberEats doesn’t protect their customers and allows this to happen and rather make money than do the right thing.
I re-ordered the same exact order with
@DoorDash no issues at all and the driver earned a $30 tip (gave her $10 in app and $20 in cash when she delivered) for just doing her job.
I didn’t pay so someone else could violate me and eat my food. I feel completely violated and disrespected
@UberEats and it’s your lack of care that makes it worse, where I have to take a loss on a meal I couldn’t eat and had to spend to re-order. What kind of company does this to their clients? I have never had these issues with
@DoorDash and honestly only use
@UberEats because it is a benefit of my
@AmericanExpress platinum card, I hope
@AmericanExpress changes to a partnership with
@DoorDash who have always treated me like a human when issue came about.
As you can see
@UberEats in the photo below (I cut their faces off to protect their privacy) from my camera, the pizza boxes are open on the side and the brown bag where the cookies were was opened and crumbled to hide it; but you can see the rip on it where it was opened. This what you allow and protect and don’t refund on
@UberEats show the world how greedy you are and how you don’t protect your customers. I don’t even blame those 2 girls, because it’s obvious
@UberEats is enabling their behavior as they’d rather protect their bottom line and wrong actions, than their clients.
