THIS IS PURE F*KING GOLD FOR MEMECOIN TRADERS
I've spent a while listening to 2 good traders who actually know how to scan the trenches, and the interesting part wasn’t the terminal at all
It was how they decide what not to trade
The screen is basically one lifecycle
NEW PAIRS → FINAL STRETCH → MIGRATED
But each stage needs a completely different question
Early on, you’re mostly trying to figure out whether the thing is even alive. Are real buys coming in? Is volume actually building? Is there enough activity for it to survive the launch?
Later, raw momentum matters less
Now the question becomes:
why would anyone care about this coin after the first buyers are gone?
One thing they kept coming back to was comparison
If some narrative is already working, don’t analyze the next coin in isolation
Compare it.
- what was the original winner?
- how big did that narrative get?
- are people actually talking about this new one?
- is the meme spreading outside the terminal?
- is it cheap because you’re early, or cheap because nobody gives a shit?
That distinction is everything.
A coin at $80k with a bunch of green metrics is not automatically "undervalued"
Sometimes it’s just an $80k coin nobody wants
The terminal should validate the thesis, not create the thesis for you
My process would be:
1. KILL THE GARBAGE
Filter liquidity, holders, dead activity, distribution and obvious launch issues
2. PICK THE STAGE
A fresh launch, a coin approaching migration and something trading hours after migration are three different trades
3. FIND THE NARRATIVE
What are people actually paying attention to on CT, TikTok, IG?
Does the idea have distribution?
4. COMPARE IT TO THE WINNER
Every meme has comps.
If the leading version of a narrative did $20m and this one is at $200k, that doesn’t mean it deserves $20m.
But now you have a much better question:
is there a reason the market could price these two closer together?
5. CHECK THE FLOW
Buyers increasing? Volume accelerating? Good wallets appearing? Holders growing? People still talking about it?
Now the terminal becomes useful because you’re using the numbers to test an idea you already have.
My ideal funnel:
300 tokens → 12 worth watching → 3 worth researching → 1 chart worth real attention
And that’s where AI makes sense too
Not:
@grok tell me what memecoin will 100x
Let code remove obvious garbage, let models rank the messy middle, let a strong model research the weird 2-3 cases, then make the trade yourself. You need a system, not the single prompt
So the actual memecoin edge is pretty simple
Don’t try to find the best coin on the screen. Find the thing the market already wants before everyone agrees on what it should be worth
