Nope. There is nothing in Zurich compared to Munich. Banks, US hyperscaler offices that round-robin the AI talent, and a couple of interesting startups, but not much at scale.

I wonder if I can someday have my own personal satellite (or trio) that just orbits over me and if I fly to Japan it just moves orbit for awhile and always gives me satellite internet and imaging and weather and warns me if somebody is standing behind me
We gotta zig when they zag. Umbra Kickstarter for a private fleet of Earth observation satellites that backers can point anywhere they want based on their contribution level?

Layercake has a lot of potential
OpenStreetMap's Layercake project now ships a 4.6M-record, 18-column, 2.2 GB wetlands file every week.
13K records are points; the rest are polygons.

As of June 2026, HTTP has a new method - a GET with a `body` 😎
Meet QUERY (RFC 10008).
It lets you send complex queries in the body (like POST) while staying safe, idempotent, and cacheable (like GET). Already works on servers (Node.js, Go, Laravel…).
Browsers are still adding full support, usable now with care, with widespread adoption coming later in 2026+.

🚆🇨🇭 Zürich HB has taken the top spot in the European Railway Station Index for the fifth year in a row!
The 2026 ranking assessed 60 of Europe’s largest railway stations, looking at factors including delays, waiting times, accessibility, connections and services. Zürich scored 101 points, just ahead of Paris Gare du Nord with 100.5. Bern also made the top five, while Lucerne ranked 14th.
Swiss stations stood out particularly for reliability. Lucerne recorded the lowest share of delayed trains in the entire ranking, at just 0.3%, followed by Bern at 1.8%. Zürich HB came sixth on this measure, at 4.2%.

A lot of it is bargain hunting and arbitrage too
In Tbilisi I had the nice walkable area I could live, work, exercise, eat
Loved the food, prices were unbeatable as a foreigner
But then could have Alps quality skiing (arguably) within 45-60 mins for also a bargain
I did the digital nomad thing for 2 years, living in 7 cities.
My experience was that everywhere felt about the same.
In every new city, you tend to create the same setup:
The coworking space, 2 coffee shops, 3 restaurants, 1-2 bars, 1 club, etc.
If you know what you like, all these places will end up being kind of the same – the 'wework', the 'sweetgreen', the 'berlin' bar, etc.
It's a great experience in your early twenties, when you want to explore and form your taste/preferences.
