I understand the sentiment here, but it would be malpractice to make a smash game without Sonic
I did a charity event where we taught 7-10 y/o kids about careers in video games and my job was to teach kids smash
Every girl picked female characters
EVERY SINGLE BOY picked Sonic
This is dummy longshot cope because it's Nintendo and they're impossible to predict
but people wondered where you even go with Smash after Ultimate, and imo the only answer is a soft reboot with ONLY Nintendo
and the best way to do that is to reframe old characters in new ways
