📚🩵 Coventry families can enjoy FREE books, face painting, a silent disco, storytelling and loads of creative activities at a special event tomorrow!
And there's no need to spend a fortune keeping the children entertained this half-term.
Coventry Libraries is bringing its Big Book Bash to Coventry Transport Museum on Wednesday, with a whole day of activities designed to encourage children to discover the joy of reading.
There'll be free books to take home, face painting, badge making, bingo, storytelling sessions and a silent disco.
Children can also explore themed activity tables covering everything from dinosaurs and comics to music and fictional characters.
But there's something particularly special about the authors taking part.
Coventry children's author Aaron Ashmore, who has donated more than 12,000 books to local schools, will be sharing stories inspired by our city's history.
His books include Lady Godiva's Birthday Suit, Coventry: The Phoenix City and the Time Travelling Coventry Taxi series.
Author Maria Motúnráyọ̀ Adébísí will also be leading a workshop exploring African mythology, including a glow-in-the-dark experience inspired by her writing.

Some workshops require advance booking, and a couple are already fully booked. Normal admission charges apply if families also want to explore the museum's main exhibitions.
🩵 It's lovely seeing Coventry's libraries putting on something this substantial for families during half-term, particularly when so many activities for children can become expensive.
