Why are we recreating an already perfect meme? Are the ancient texts being lost?

New on our blog 📖👀 Hear from a public school worker in Chicago about how she her coworkers organized to defend students—and each other—from the federal government’s Operation Metro Surge. Read more in the replies👇

There are no ‘Anarchist’ or ‘Marxist’ revolutions, there are only communist revolutions. Either they take on the form of free association, self activity of the class and abolish the value form. Or they fail to abolish the state and fulfil the political coup required by capital

Feels like the kind of post engineered in a lab to be as deliberately obtuse as possible
I never really liked the “leftist” exaltation of the worker as some rallying point of unified solidarity. It still implies the most important quality someone has in relation to her fellow humans is the ability to produce labor

The kinds of images are always funny to me; reducing the project of revolutionary social transformation to the CoD loadout selection screen.
Not everyone needs to be jacked and able to run 20 miles kitted out to contribute.

This weekend, members of our newly launched Chicago Local are sponsoring a panel session on libertarian socialism at the @socialismconf in Chicago. You can find that session here: socialismconference.org/2026… Our friends at Breitbart have already given their ringing endorsement!

Ok dumb meme aside, I will say that back in 2015 I went to the 40th anniversary edition release of a Dauvé book in LA where when someone posed a question about communist food production to a prominent local insurrecto/communization guy, he nearly verbatim gave the same answer.
Anarchist supply chains, explained:

In the wilderness years post-Occupy I was flirting with the in-vogue communization stuff, but this was one of those experiences that made me realize that these people have no idea what they’re actually talking about.

There’s a long pedigree of anarchist anti-imperialism and involvement in national liberation struggles. Read about it here: blackrosefed.org/lucien-hist…
Bakunin was initially an insurrectionary republican revolutionary who supported national liberation movements. He later added socialism to this and lastly anarchist socialism. His economic/political commitments changed, but his support for national liberation movements remained.

🚨BREAKING: AOC was described in a DSA national leadership meeting tonight as a lapsed member for SEVEN YEARS before rejoining this month. DSA is now preparing a statement on her membership status, arguing members deserve transparency.

Media production should be an outgrowth of organizing and the material (not rhetorical) fights we intervene in.

KRISTEN WELKER: Congressman Jolly says he is a capitalist. Would you call yourself a capitalist, or do you reject capitalism? ANGIE NIXON: I live in a capitalistic society. I’m a small-business owner. I like to make money. I don’t see what the problem is. I’m a capitalist who believes that we need some strong regulation.

A bad faith response to a crudely articulated objection that’s describing a real issue: much of the left still reproduces itself via subcultures with obscure in group codes/signals that (deliberately or not) read as highly exclusionary to outsiders.
I watch the Phoenix Suns, go to games and can talk about the NBA with coworkers. Is this normal enough for the Revolution or is my love of obscure hardcore punk genres still ruining it?

Coming up in the anarchist mvmt in the early 2000s, it was clear to me that punk/hardcore aesthetics were used to appeal to a very specific and narrow subset of the population. This was not to the benefit of a movement that allegedly aspired to transform the whole of society.

But I do own a first pressing of the Flex Your Head comp, in case that gives me any cred on this topic.
