We should be thankful to The Quint for publishing Sharjeel Imam's interview. It brings to light a view that a section of the Muslim community holds under the garb of rights. Sharjeel's thought robs pre-independence Muslim groups of the guilt of partition, as he squarely blames the Congress leadership for the subcontinent's partition. I do not see Sharjeel as a terrorist, but rather as a person who has no faith in India's Constitution, its liberal values, its pre-Islamic civilisational past, Hindu philosophy, and, most importantly of all, its democratic structure. His comparative analysis of rights is blind when it comes to Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and the Maldives. He imagines Muslims in South Asia as a unified community but does not accord the same status to Hindus. He derives his method from Marxist thought and his working philosophy from Islam. In fact, he goes on to argue that only Muslims had a sense of "us" in South Asia. He excludes Islam's contact with Western modernity and its inability to respond to it from a non-religious perspective. In the name of empowerment, he puts forward the idea that two states exist within India: a Hindu upper-caste state at the top, and another occupied by Muslims, Dalits, and other religious denominations at the bottom. He builds this fallacy by drawing ideas from Sayyid Qutb, a leading literary critic who was one of the foundational ideologues of the Muslim Brotherhood. Sharjeel is an Islamist opposed to the very democratic idea of India and its civilisational past. I am not bothered by his reverence for Jinnah, Ali Shariati, or Iqbal—that hardly affects me. What bothers me is that his ideas have been left unattended academically. The debate around his bail is another matter. The real debate centers on what Sharjeel proposes. He proposes another mobilisation of Muslims in India, which aligns with the same language used by the Muslim League before partition. It is full of disdain for other communities. His proposed alliance with Dalits, Tribals, and other religious minorities is envisioned as a path towards monotheism. He finds redemption in this ideological path rather than in what the Constitution, the civilisation, and the state stand for today. This is deeply disturbing. His idea of representation in elected bodies that accounts purely for numbers is an argument borrowed directly from the Muslim League. Furthermore, Hinduism in India has continuously evolved through various internal reform movements that have left the Muslim community largely untouched—questions that have been completely left unattended by him. Most importantly, he confuses backwardness with the specific historical practice of untouchability. It is for this reason that quota extensions in the Central List have not been blindly given to other communities at large. Lastly, it is no surprise that both Islamists like Sharjeel and the Indian Right blame the Congress for partition. This ideological congruence needs to be studied further. Subsequently, Sharjeel's denial of Bharat's civilisational past, alongside his view of India as merely a product of partition, closely mirrors the rhetoric of certain Congress leaders who define India strictly as a "Union of States." This, too, requires a rigorous academic response.

Hindutva must mature into an intellectual project. We need age-stratified frameworks: 6–10 for belonging, 11–16 for understanding, 17–25 for expertise, 26–40 for capacity, 40+ for institutions, rooted in civilisational history and driven by science, economics and defence. (1/10)

Money from Deep State Executed by 'Red Green' axis Target 13 countries A Fox News Digital investigation has identified 101 organizations across 13 countries that are coordinating, organizing, or amplifying protests in Europe and India. Let me share some additional information which is not in the article One of the organization mentioned in research is Progressive International. On 28 April 2025, Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi met a delegation from Progressive International at 10 Janpath in New Delhi. From India, CPI leader Annie Raja is a member of the organization. CPI and CPI-ML are partners of Progressive International. Another network active in these protests is the Singham Network. Neville Roy Singham is connected to the Chinese Communist Party. In 2018, Singham allegedly provided funding to CPI-M through NewsClick. Breakthrough News is funded by Singham Indian Alliance Paris's secretary is Joy Banerjee. he is connected to Indian communist parties. His one of associate is Bela Bhatia, a Maoist sympathiser and wife of Jean Drèze, who recently attended the October 10 protests in New Delhi One particularly notable organization among these 101 is CODEPINK. CODEPINK has received funding from both George Soros and Neville Roy Singham. Amnesty International has also received funding from Soros, the Ford Foundation, and the Rockefeller Foundation. From the outset, I have argued that a common global ecosystem has been nurturing and financing a “red-green axis” in multiple countries, and that this network has been activated this year to create anarchy. The protest in India form part of a larger global conspiracy.
HOT OFF THE PRESSES. CHAOS INC. is growing. Who is behind the protests in France and Europe? I was just on @FoxBusiness to talk to the amazing @dagenmcdowell about the findings of my new reporting at @FoxNews Digital: 🔴🟢 101 organizations in the "red-green" alliance across 9 counties are fomenting and amplifying the protests in France and Europe (up from 54 orgs yesterday) 🔴🟢 Only 1 in 3 student or youth; the rest are adults 🔴🟢 They plan “Acte II” on Saturday OCTOBER 24 with protests across France 🔴🟢 The protests are being amplified by the network in the US funded by Neville Roy Singham, the American communist tycoon living in Shanghai supporting the Chinese Communist Party. READ HERE: foxnews.com/world/global-cha… For this reporting, I name names so that the myth of "student protests" can be pierced. Let me know of any organizations that I missed. Of course, I will reveal any ties, if any, of these organizations to governments from Russia to the Islamic Republic of Iran and China -- wherever the reporting takes us. China's first 350 km/h high speed/bullet line was only 120 km. The plan was approved in 2004 and opened in 2008 China had 9,000 km of high speed track in 2012, 38,000 in 2020. Our Mumbai Ahmedabad bullet train foundation stone was laid in 2017. It is 508 km corridor more than 4X longer than China's first line and it includes INDIA'S FIRST UNDERSEA TUNNEL also. Once the first corridor is fully functional, building 300-400 km per year is not that big of a thing it’s actually too low.The problem is democracy. Land acquisition, multiple state governments, etc. On top of that, the TUNNEL BORING MACHINES (TBMs) required for the undersea section was stopped by in China(manufacturer of German company from which we were importing )for nearly two years. WE HAD TO MAKE OUR OWN, INDIGENOUSLY (Imagine). China could force pace because it has a single party system with near unlimited authority over land and timelines. We don't. If people were this much critical from 1947 we would have been really a developed country... always remember where we came from.
Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project started in 2014 but still not completed in 12 years. But BhimJP clowns are promising to build 7000 kms of bullet train corridor in the next 20 yrs.🤡

Uploading the full 40 minute Sharjeel speech, since many might not have seen it. Please watch and understand the mindset. Him and his ilk are Pakistanis living in India. Many young muslims from JNU/AMU/JMI espouse the same ideology. Watch.
1/5 Sharjeel Imam has given an interview detailing his Islamist manifesto. Surprisingly, no storm has been kicked up over pronouncements that are so unapologetically anti-liberal, anti-secular, anti-democracy, anti-Constitution—in a word, anti-national. 2/5 He openly calls the Constitution fascist, labels secularism a trap, and denounces democracy as a contrivance to deny Muslims their political rights. 3/5 The piece is a litany of indictments against the liberal class. Imam rejects any difference between liberals and Hindutvadis. In his essentialist worldview, all Hindus are the same, unanimous in denying Muslims political power they claim as a divine right. 4/5 Inadvertently, Sharjeel has recognised something that liberals have been fighting shy of acknowledging: that Hindutva’s idea of India is anchored in the same “overarching nationalist framework”— that Muslims are Indians above all else. 5/5 For more, read this Opinion article by Ibn Khaldun Bharati, who looks at Islam from an Indian perspective: Sharjeel Imam’s Islamist manifesto will be forgotten. The silence of liberals will not theprint.in/opinion/sharjeel…

Funny that some people do not have any problem whatsoever with what Sharjeel Imam has said or believes in. But they have a huge problem on why the person writing about it is using a pseudonym. If you are liberal enough, why don't you write yourself and denounce what Sharjeel Imam stands for? Else, for that matter, be brave enough to say openly that you agree and support whatever he has said in his interview.
I’ve long wondered about this practice: how is it ok, in today’s age, to have a ‘pseudonym’ columnist? I’d understand for whistleblower; personal story of risk. But for a regular “analysis”column that can fire away anything on India’s most divisive issue without accountability?

This is the “South Asia Bureau Chief” of @nytimes essentially perpetuating a dog-whistle against another Moslem columnist who has expressed a contrary opinion on a topic. And the @nytimes has no issues with it. It has zero credibility left on covering the Indian Subcontinent 🤷🏻‍♂️
