Three years ago, on 7 October, my worldview changed—not so much because of the atrocities committed by Hamas (what else would you expect from a genocidal terrorist group?), but because of the shocking response to those atrocities from many of my “progressive” friends: from apologetics and denial to outright jubilation.
That day, I was jolted out of my complacency and woke up to the poisonous ideology that had quietly taken hold across large swathes of the Left and academia.
My forthcoming book, The Betrayal of the Enlightenment (
@PitchstoneBooks), reconstructs how self-proclaimed progressives, of all people, could have arrived at this point.
