💭 CfC St. Moritz USA, 2018 Eight months after our first edition in the Engadin, we opened at The Ritz-Carlton in Half Moon Bay. The market was still pitching ICOs from the stage. One session that week was literally titled "Summer 2018 Has Been the Shitcoin Purge We All Needed," which was the industry saying out loud that the easy money era was finished and professionalization had to start. Our agenda around the upcoming institutional adoption was already there. Regulation ran across all three days, with custody, tax and legal structuring each in a session of their own.
