In 2013, Bitcoin was actually being adopted.
You could book hotels on Expedia, buy software from Microsoft, pick up a coffee without turning it into a dissertation on routing channels. Then came the fees, the congestion, and the hand-waving excuses.
Now we’re told adoption means shuffling BTC IOUs through boondoggles like Lightning—an entirely separate system dressed up as a “second layer”—and calling it progress. Back then, it was simple: no Rube Goldberg contraptions, no off-chain acrobatics.
All you had to do was scale Bitcoin and it worked. Funny how “innovation” managed to make it worse.
