CREEPZ EXPLOIT UPDATE
@creepz looks to have been one of the collections hit hardest by yesterday’s Payment Processor exploit.
• 186 Creepz holder wallets were affected
• 1,128 Creepz were stolen by attackers
• The stolen Creepz were dumped into Blur bids almost immediately
• Estimated holder value lost: ~169 ETH / ~$454K, using the pre attack 0.15 ETH sale price
• Attackers only realized roughly 39 to 43 ETH, averaging about 0.035 ETH per Creepz
• Another 53 Creepz from 12 wallets were rescued by @0xQuit and are safe
• Across the wider exploit, roughly 7,900 NFTs were stolen from 1,786 wallets
• That means Creepz alone accounted for roughly 1 in every 7 NFTs stolen
Important distinction: the Creepz contract itself was not hacked. The attack came through old Payment Processor approvals on @MagicEden.
If you ever used Magic Eden during that period, revoke those approvals even if you weren’t affected.
This exploit is wild.
So many people I know were affected by this.
Seeing @creepz get WETH’d all the way down to 0.03 is wild af.
Looks like @seedphrase lost 300+ Lizards alone.
