This is how lawyers are truly buried...👇👇👇 📍When a lawyer díés, a valedictory court session is organized for the lawyer. Valedictory means "goodbye or farewell". So it's a goodbye court session. 📍All lawyers are fully robed in the complete wig and gown attire. 📍There is a court sitting like a normal court session where the judges will enter the courtroom. 📍Senior members of the Nigerian Bar will escort the casket of the late lawyer into the court hall. 📍Addresses/statements will be made by the President of the Nigerian Bar or the Chairman of the NBA branch, representative of the body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs) and other legal bodies. 📍They will talk about the lawyer, his/her good virtues and contributions to the legal profession. 📍After that, an application will be made to the judge to grant permission for the body of the deceased lawyer to be buried in line with the deceased lawyer's religion and belief. 📍The judge will make a statement based on the application and make an order for the body to be buried. If the court says the body should not be buried, it will not be buried. However, the courts have never refused the application but may, if the cause of déàth is being investigated and autopsy or postmotem needs to be carried out. 📍At the end of the court session, everyone, beginning with the judges, will quietly walk around the casket and bow to the deceased lawyer as final goodbye and last respect. 📍After the goodbye bow, all the lawyers in the court will go outside, form two opposite lines as "guards of honour" with space in the middle and some lawyers will move the casket through the middle until the deceased lawyer is put in the vehicle, leaves the court premises and never to return again. 📍The casket is then taken to be buried by the family of the deceased lawyer in line with his people's custom and tradition and his religious beliefs because the right to religion is a fundamental right that is not taken away by being a lawyer. Lawyers or the legal profession does not have any business with the burial procedure. 📍The body of the deceased lawyer is laid in the casket facing up and buried in a 6 feet grave like every normal human being. 🚨Note: Lawyers are not buried wearing the wig and gown attire. They are only honoured with it and placed on top of the casket during the ceremony. The attire is for the court and not the grave. 📍After the burial, the lawyer goes to heaven for being a Minister in the temple of justice 😜 who try to fulfill Biblical provision in 2 Peters 3:9 which says, "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance". This means that God's patience and desire is for all people to turn away from sin through repentance, rather than for anyone to face destruction. This is why lawyers defend crimíñàls so they are not destroyed on account of their sins but turn a new leaf.😂😂 As for lawyers being liars, if you have never lied in your entire life, swear with your life.🙄🙄 All human beings have lied and fallen short of the glory of God. So if God is rejecting liars, no one will be accepted by God. If you witness the valedictory court session of a deceased lawyer, you will wish to be a lawyer so you can be well honoured by the high and mighty after death.
