#PostOfficeScandal The Horizon Scandal Fund was setup as a stop gap whilst the various complex compensation schemes got underway. It has become so much more than that and for far longer than anyone ever envisaged. It exists to help former Sub-Postmasters, managers, assistants, Crown Office workers and their families whose lives have been ruined by the Horizon scandal. Over the past few years they have raised and distributed over £250,000, which is incredible. It also lays bare the true scale of how people have been treated and how slow and tortuous the redress process have been and continue to be. Although the number of applicants to the fund is reducing as the number of settlements in the redress schemes continue to increase, the fund has ongoing commitments to support people until their own claims are resolved and especially for counselling, which if stopped could undo the years of therapy they have received. The fund requires YOUR help, they understand everyone has already been incredibly generous, however they need approximately £5,000 to fund their commitments to applicants until the end of 2026.
