Building @usetradeloop Helping traders understand why they lose, not just what they lose. Building in public.

India
India shouldn’t build an LLM just to say “we have one.” We should build the whole AI flywheel: Indian data → Indian foundation models → Indian apps → more local data → better models. We’ve already started with IndiaAI, Sarvam, BharatGen and others. So what would it take for India to go all-in and build a frontier AI stack that our startups, government and critical infrastructure can actually depend on? Not to copy the US or China. To own our stack.

You forgot the rest of the chart Here’s what the full index actually looks like. Cropping it to just the bottom end changes the whole picture.

I left GPT-6 Astra on Autopilot for a bit. Came back to: 2,161 files +150,029 / −274,969 Do I stop it and inspect the diff or just let it cook?

True!!!
Only software engineers will understand why this is actually funny.

Watching @OpenAIDevs DevDay today, one thing really hit me. We’re getting very close to a world where building software won’t need huge teams anymore. One person with the right AI tools could build, operate, market, support and scale what used to require an entire company. Not saying humans become useless. But the number of people needed to build something serious is about to collapse. Software is becoming cheap. Execution is becoming automated. One person running an entire company doesn’t sound crazy anymore. #OpenAIDevDay

Genuine question: who actually makes these financial decisions in India? Is it really just the Finance Minister, or are there entire teams, regulators and committees behind them? Because if all these decisions are collective, how does nobody stop and ask what they’ll do to traders, investors and regular taxpayers? Someone has to be looking at the other side too.

Why does Opus 5.5 have “fallback” on Artificial Analysis? It’s #1 with 58, but I’d really like to know how much of that benchmark actually ran on Opus itself. A run with fallback off would be useful.

BSE is listed on NSE. Now NSE is listed on BSE. Interesting question: when the stock exchange itself becomes a listed company, who keeps a check on it? And if NSE can’t list on its own exchange because of conflict of interest, how exactly does the regulation work when two competing exchanges list each other? Genuinely curious. This part of the market is fascinating.

Dario: we need to slow down AI. Anthropic: anyway, here’s Opus 5.5 😭
We Must Pace the Frontier: I’ve written a new essay on why the AI industry should slow down, with a three-part plan for doing so. Anthropic is unilaterally committing to the first of these steps. We’ll provide third-party evaluators with permanent, employee-level access to our systems, so that they can verify adherence to our safety measures, report on incidents, and assess models’ alignment during training. You can read the full post here: darioamodei.com/post/we-must…

Hyderabad isn’t quietly catching up anymore. Global tech is paying attention. The next step is bigger: build world-class companies from here, not just offices for them. 🚀
Hyderabad has spent decades building the talent, infrastructure and business climate to compete with Bangalore. The test is whether Hyderabad can use its talent base to move from supporting global innovation to creating more of its own. Tune into this episode of Wall Street Week here: bloom.bg/4y5RpQn

I built TradeLoop. Now I need to find the first person who actually wants it. No users. No revenue. Just me, the product, and the uncomfortable question: What if I’m wrong?

I said this yesterday. I don’t want AI to slow down. I want us to keep building, competing and pushing the frontier. And now we’re seeing Jensen Huang and Trump publicly taking the same position. This isn’t about blindly ignoring AI risks. It’s about making sure fear doesn’t become an excuse to stop technological progress. The AI race is already happening. India should be in it too.
President Trump calls Jensen mid-interview at the All-In Summit to say AI taking over the world is a hoax Jensen: "Mr. President? I've got to tell you something. If it wasn't because of you calling, I would... I'm on stage with the besties." Trump: "You see, the great thing about life is that Jensen can develop the most complex computer chip in the world that nobody can copy for 10 years, but he can't figure out how to put me on speaker." "So, the AI, it's almost a conspiracy, and the happiest group is China, they're very happy." "I'm telling you, it's all a hoax. The data centers are great and they make people wealthy and they make states wealthy and it's the oil of the next 20, 25 years. It's bigger than the Internet." "The robots are not going to be taking over the world and that's not going to happen. The AI will not be taking over the rest of the world. The whole thing is a hoax." "Now, with that, we have to be a little bit careful, but that doesn't mean we're going to stop an industry. So I'm with you all the way."
