I think Curracloe will be a big player in the fillies' Classics next year
Big run from her as all the horses around her had genuine G1 form, she's still fairly unexposed as that was only her third ever run

Does Haffner (Justify) bring up the Scat Daddy turf treble in the BC Juvenile Turf?

2yo fillies this year have been something else
Queen Mary and Albany were races for the ages in hindsight

British jumps racing just can't help itself
6 in the G2 Charlie Hall at Wetherby tomorrow and 3 in the Listed Colin Parker at Carlisle on Sunday
The best time to cut the number of races was a long time ago
The second best time to cut the number of races is right now

2026 foaling statistics for Britain and Ireland
Total foal crop at its lowest since 1989
Crops were by and large increasing from 1958 up until the late Noughties, took a big tumble then, and has just slowly fallen since then (Barring a slight uptick in the mid-2010s)

Some tidy looking races over the next few days at Down Royal, beginners chase tomorrow & then the Envoi Allen & the 2nd season chasers G2 on Sat look fun
John Durkan in a few weeks could be a belter if Gaelic Warrior, FTF, Romeo Coolio, Heart Wood, & Koktail Divin all turn up

Sea The Stars’s 2026 book
Ezeliya & Dariyza both going from Justify in 2025 to STS in 2026
Dar Re Mi also in there; any resultant foal there would have the distinction of their sire having run against their dam (2009 Arc)

Maxios’s 2026 book
Still somewhat surreal when you think about it that the Niarchos family bred both the Cheltenham Gold Cup winner and his sire

Kyprios’s first book as a sire….
Mares covered by him include:
Anshan Bay (Dam of Maxxum)
Anna Bunina (2022 Scottish CH winner & 2023 Punchestown Mares’ Hurdle 2nd)
Tocco D’Amore (Listed-winning half-sister to Echo Of Light)

I'm bored so here are some of my favourite obscure racing facts
1. Daryz's dam came 4th in Harbinger's KG
2. Daryz's 2nd dam came 13th in Montjeu's Arc
3. Dubai Millennium's dam was a sibling to (a) a July Cup winner, (b) a BC Juvenile & Preakness winner & (c) a Gold Cup 2nd

Dublin looking lovely this morning
Unfortunately, it does not FEEL lovely; I’m absolutely freezing
Goal for this year’s Marathon is to not break my metatarsal after 2km
And if that happens again, then to not run the rest of the Marathon
