When you learn history as a kid, it comes as a series of leaps. Agriculture, the industrial revolution, cars, the Internet. I remember being wide eyed at all of it thinking how nuts it must have been to live while the world was changing underneath you. But then you learn about the second half of the story, things like the Gilded Age. And what sucks is that once you see it, you start to notice it behind every one of those leaps. The world changes for everyone, but the upside goes to a few. Everyone got to ride the railroad, but almost no one got a share of it. The average person got to live through the revolution, all while having to watch someone else own it. Well, we're living through one of those leaps right now and AI may end up being the biggest of them all. Our path at DAWN is based on a question I keep coming back to -- does it have to go the same way? I don't think it does. For the first time, the financial rails exist for anyone to participate in something like this directly. On-chain finance was built for exactly this -- access. That's what makes it possible to actually do better this time. So the goal -- anyone who wants to be part of this revolution should have a way in. If you want to back what's being built, you should be able to earn on it, directly. If you want to build it, you should be able to get funded. USD.infra is the bridge between on-chain capital and the real infrastructure powering this revolution. AI compute, connectivity, edge, power. Yield flows to the people backing it. Capital flows to the verified operators building it. That's the whole idea. This time, the people living through the revolution actually get to be part of it.
The USD.infra Vault is coming. DAWN is bringing the cash flows of digital infrastructure on-chain as yield for institutions and retail. We built the network. Now we’re launching the RWA protocol for AI compute, connectivity, and edge infrastructure. Sept. 22, 2 PM UTC. 🔒

Since 2024, DAWN has raised $40M to date to tokenize AI and connectivity infrastructure. This has been led by @DragonflyVC, @polychain, @vaneck_us, and more amazing investors. We’ve spent that time building. Here’s what’s ahead 👇

There is a once in a generation demand for new infrastructure. Nearly $7T will be invested into AI infrastructure and data centers by 2030, and the people building it can't get financed fast enough. DAWN tokenizes AI infrastructure so institutions and retail can access its cash flows as on-chain yield. Read More Here 👇

Bitcoin and gold are increasingly moving together: The 90-day correlation between Bitcoin and gold prices is up to +0.50, almost matching the all-time high set during the 2020 pandemic. This figure has more than doubled since the start of the year. By comparison, following the 2022 bear market recovery, the 90-day correlation rose to +0.30. The recent surge accelerated following the US Treasury announcement on August 19th that it would at least double its buybacks of long-dated government debt, from $2 billion to $4 billion per operation. Meanwhile, the 90-day correlation between Bitcoin and the Nasdaq 100 is down to ~0.30, a 1-year low. Investors are increasingly turning to both gold and Bitcoin as hedges against currency debasement.

It’s honestly crazy that Trump could have sat back and rode the AI wave re-industrializing America and instead he did tariffs, tried to take over the Fed and started another war in the Middle East. Has there ever been a bigger own goal?

10 years ago @polychain was founded in an apartment in SF to build a unique fund, from first principles, for investing in crypto-assets because ‘the future is more Sci-Fi than you think’. It has been an incredible journey with so much to be proud of from the firm’s extraordinary returns & portfolio of projects. But what we’re most proud of is that Polychain spawned so many outlier entrepreneurs from the core team. Nearly a dozen centimillion-dollar firms/funds alongside several unicorns & a decacorn.

Hut 8 has fully commercialized its 1 GW Beacon Point AI data center campus with a second 352 MW IT lease, bringing campus-level base-term contract value to $19.6 billion. The 15-year lease doubles the existing high-investment-grade tenant's contracted capacity at the campus to 704 MW, and renewal options carry potential campus-level contract value to $50.2 billion. Across its portfolio, Hut 8's contracted AI data center capacity now totals 949 MW, supported by 1,330 MW of utility capacity, representing $26.6 billion in aggregate base-term contract value and average annual NOI of more than $1.75 billion. 100% of that capacity is leased to or backstopped by investment-grade counterparties. There’s a lot of disinformation going around about $META “cutting capex” because they “overbuilt”. This is an “if” they have excess capacity. And it looks like the opposite right now: Hyperscalers like $GOOGL are so compute constrained that they had to cut allocations to Meta back in March. Since Meta was using too much for internal projects. Meta was immediately constrained so it looks like they were forced to immediately sign massive $48B+ contracts with Neoclouds like $CRWV and $NBIS. Meta is selling excess capacity if there’s any, especially since their large contracts are take or pay from the Neoclouds. If anything, I’m expecting their guided capex to go up as they build out more independent capacity.
Replying to @aleabitoreddit
The real question is why and how do they have excess 🤔

Today, we remember a legend. On this day in history, Harambe would have celebrated another birthday. An icon that became part of internet history, American culture, and an entire generation’s timeline. Tomorrow marks 10 years since we lost him. Ten years since the moment the world stopped scrolling and collectively mourned something bigger than a meme. He became a symbol of loyalty, strength, chaos, unity, and the strange beauty of the internet bringing millions of people together for one cause: never forgetting Harambe. Everyone remembers where they were when they heard the news. And somehow, a decade later, his legacy still lives on. Gone, but never forgotten. Rest easy to a true patriot. 🕊️🇺🇸 May 27, 1999 — May 28, 2016 Forever in our hearts.
