Ok, I’m just gonna say it.
This is all contingent on China agreeing to anything.
And at this point, unless I’m missing something, reading this article is quite distasteful to even show up at the table to discuss anything.
If China won’t stop, the world will follow.
Writing like this isn’t the best was to start that conversation.
This is simply an article of fear of our future and frustration that China is doing a great job getting around their systems.
If this is truly a world problem, please, be inclusive versus outwardly bias towards democratic counties (seriously?) and your China problems at home.
Here’s the real challenge:
1. The world and its economics is not ready for AI
2. China is the best country at excelling existing technology, by not only making them amazing but by implementing them into society.
AI has already been invented and as stated “self improving”.
There is no slowing down. Improve your countries by investing in your people, your systems and prepare every aspect of society for change.
Otherwise, prepare to become the new golden standard of a 4th world country.

For everyone else: Telegram has an exploit at the moment where URLs can show cooldomain dot com, but actually go to attacker dot com. And it is a legit, cool domain, url not a forwarder.
Be careful while Telegram looks to fixing this. Almost got caught this morning!
@telegram There is a significant exploit on your latest telegram version where URL links can be represented differently prior to when you click on them. I have confirmed they are not forwarder links, and the attacker is able to send custom messages with false url links.

An encouraging sight: crypto futures yield currently pays you less than the US government does 😬
But there's something encouraging in that...
Glassnode kindly charted the 3-month annualized BTC futures basis against the 2-year Treasury yield, and the basis (the yield from buying spot and shorting futures) has now sat below treasuries for 157 days. Only the second prolonged stretch on record. The first lasted 160 days, and it ran straight through the 2022 cycle low.
I choose to see this chart as "how badly leveraged longs want exposure"; when it's fat, speculators pay up for futures. When it's below the risk-free rate, nobody's paying for leverage, the carry trade is dead, and rational capital parks in T-bills.
Speculation is being drained from the system and whoever needed to sell sold.
Every deep leverage flush in BTC's history has been the setup for a reversal. If this holds even loosely, the interesting question isn't whether we're near a floor but whether anyone has the stomach to act while the chart -and sentiment- still looks this ugly.
Disclaimer (because I'd like to keep some credibility): the sample size is exactly one, and a flush tells you sellers are exhausted, not when buyers return.
