It also gives a useful comparison with Bitcoin-style blockchain systems: Instead of mining scarce tokens and maintaining one global ledger, HoloFuel is designed around real hosting activity compute, bandwidth and storage using Holochain’s agent-centric, peer-to-peer architecture. The interesting shift is from “work to secure and maintain a blockchain” toward “real hosting work that provides an actual service.” The site also makes an important distinction: HoloFuel is not live yet, and the interactive examples are simulations designed to help people understand the model.
