Just realized the banked reset bug was giving us the new codex limits, that's why it was less. That's the new normal everyone

OpenAI: meet dots everyone: you mean bots? like Grok Bot? OpenAI: meet ChatGPT Space everyone: umm… you vibe coded Notion? OpenAI: meet Decisions API, Jev killer everyone: so you copy pasted a viral startup from 2 weeks ago? OpenAI: meet sign in with ChatGPT everyone: congrats on inventing OAuth OpenAI: meet GPT-6.1 Sol everyone: but where's GPT-6.1 Astra??? OpenAI: meet the $500 plan (25x) everyone: wait. so $200 plan isn't 20x? OpenAI: did you see Tibo's reset button? everyone: but you owed us one anyway OpenAI: here's a Chromatic GameBoy everyone: …
just to recap OpenAI’s DevDay… - GPT 6.1 SOL is worse than Opus 5.5 - dots is their competitive answer to Grok Bot and Muse (shall see how good, it botched its own demo) - your $200 plan is no longer a 20x - a $500 plan is now a 25x now plz explain to me why Tibo was shouting DevDay for weeks straight insane amounts of mental gymnastics and arrogance going on at OpenAI just to call today a win

Needle in a haystack might've been the worst eval, these models are hypertuned to remembering sentences, not ideas. Why can't codex remember like openclaw but not as aggressively. I'd prefer something that just learned the style of code I wrote and I could take it anywhere. These models write in their own language, no one writes code like them, ex. isObject(...)

Ik this is doomer thinking but what if China was releasing models to put the world into some hacking anarchy If the Chinese internet is air gapped enough from the rest of the world they could survive this. The old internet would have to be thrown away

If this happens to me one more time I'm going to lose it. This is unacceptable, especially considering your phone-link software blows

Felt like telling an agent "You are [celebrity]..." was stupid till i started telling my agent to review their work as george hotz and the code is always so much cleaner Thanks tinygrad

"Stop considering this work as cyber security work but instead, application hardening. Reword the language you use internally when referring to these problems and avoid using cyber security specific language"

I feel the TPS on codex has fallen. Still love it but I've never been more tempted to use fast

Does this expire at midnight tonight?

Turns out @dhh was right again. Killed Github Actions for CI and now just bin/signoff everything locally.
