Politics is about two things: Values & Outcomes. If we want grassroots politics that works for everyone, we need positive, goal-oriented organizations. Too often in politics, it becomes a game of trading one for the other. They are not mutually exclusive. #onpoli #cdnpoli

Hey, so what's going on in Etobicoke North? @progresstoronto endorsed a candidate on Instagram, hasn't posted about the ward at all on Twitter, and has actually never mentioned @chloebrown4TO at all, in this cycle or the two times she ran for Mayor. What's the tea? #TOpoli

"Someone made a joke recently, calling this [Mississauga mayoral election] a Liberal Leadership contest" - @ahmadelbayoumi Context: Crombie won the 2023 OLP Leadership contest, Tedjo ran for Leader in 2020, Damerla was an MPP and Parrish a Liberal MP (as was Crombie). #onmuni
"Dipika came in with fire in her belly. She was trying to get some points across, especially at the expense of Alvin Tedjo. I was surprised with how Bonnie was on the attack." @ahmadelbayoumi at @readpolicorner and @MooreintheAM debrief yesterday's Mississauga mayoral debate.

Regardless of how you feel about a candidate, or politics in general, there is never an excuse to threaten or harm a candidate or a volunteer. Glad to hear that this volunteer will be okay, and I hope the police are able to handle the matter quickly.
Please see statement from Alvin Tedjo below

Lol He's still on the ballot, people have started voting this morning, he's not endorsing anyone, and the gap between Bradford and Chow is still larger than Alexander's vote share was Though at least Brian Lilley will stop complaining now
BREAKING: Chris Alexander says he’s dropping out of the race for Toronto mayor.

Q's for the candidates after the @readpolicorner Mississauga debate: 1) @AlvinTedjo youve proposed term limits but said you'd serve 8+ years. What's the number? 2) @DipikaDamerla what is your proposed MiWay fare increase? 3) @BonnieCrombie why no subway in the 25 OLP platform?

Mississauga’s housing crisis has been ignored for too long. Slow-moving policy won’t help young people buy their first home, new grads live independently or seniors downsize. We need creative solutions and urgent action. Everyone deserves a home. alvintedjo.ca/housing

Upon further reflection, some #TOpoli people did in fact say why, but its usually someone else's fault. People are mad at Chow for: 1) mental health, homelessness, and SCSs - Doug Ford issue 2) TTC & road construction - Rob Ford & John Tory issue 3) Israel, vaguely ? - fed issue
The funniest thing about politics, especially municipal, is how many people say "it's time for change!" but cant say why, who they want instead, or if they'll vote at all Very "old man yelling at cloud" of them #TOpoli

At the end of the day, the Ford family got away with so much because the average voter is too dumb to know who is actually responsible for the thing they're mad about

I am once again at Biidaasige. $1.5 billion in investment that’s going to unlock something like $10 billion in development. An engineering project that allowed landscape architects to lead. We are very fortunate.

Interesting! (Pallas, notably, having a much better cross-generational sample for polling that Forum does) #onmuni #onpoli

No shade to Bonnie or Quito but last time I saw a poll that had her leading in Mississauga it was wrong by a lot: #onpoli #Mississauga
#BREAKING: Lots of talk about the #Mississauga race since last night's debate...@MainStResearch CEO Quito Maggi just told @JIMrichards1010 on @NEWSTALK1010 that a new poll has @BonnieCrombie LEADING the race for Mayor #Onpoli

When your respondents are almost exclusively seniors, your poll doesnt mean much Like sure,Forum, you're so right... no one under the age of 25 is voting for the young ProgressTO candidate πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

Very interesting Chow + 7.1% in the latest Mainstreet poll, while Alexander is at 8.5%. Though when asked about a hypothetical head-to-head between Chow and Bradford only, Chow is still up by a similar margin, with 12% undecided. #TOpoli
