My take is that Doom 2016 was actually more interested in showing its story and did a far better job at telling its story than Doom Eternal 🤷‍♀️
Sometimes still think about how Doom 2016 had doomguy destroy a thing that was trying to explain lore and story to him, rejecting the very idea of exposition and lore in a doom game and then the next 2 games just decided "you know what? this game needs more lore"

here's a fun chemical. EuFOD is a Europium compound that has an interesting property of... Increasing the resolution of your NMR spectra. This was something that they used back in the 70s when high-res NMR didnt exist much but if you still really needed better peak separation

Marathon is a victim of 4 things: 1.Sony’s live service reputation. 2. Bungie’s D2 baggage. 3. Online grifters who's most played game is steamdb player charts. 4. The playtests were terrible. The game itself is genuinely one of the best shooters in a decade.
As brain-dead as the steam chart spammers are it really does make me sad that more people aren't playing Marathon. Underrated isn't even the right word, it's just artificially hated which is just a bummer.

I sometimes see this, but please do not use Uni for AI-generated content. I think the real Uni is far, far cuter than any AI-made version. Uni’s cuteness can’t be expressed by AI

If I remember correctly either today or tmmr marks the 20th anniversary of original Mass Destruction recording in Roppongi. I still remember it like yesterday, cold winter day with no one in Tokyo since it was new years. Excited and nervous simultaneously, I went to the studio and fixed the lyrics on the spot. Ended the session in less than an hour. Song that basically changed my life. Crazy.

Does anyone else like to use “Low Tech ChatGPT” on physical paper? You write down your prompt and then answer how you think ChatGPT would. It’s really helpful in case you don’t have Internet access!
