That's why I say, no matter how genuine you are, if you're a broke friend, you will never be able to be a good friend in the way you want to be. You'll feel bad because you're a good friend but you simply don't have the money, and eventually you might even distance yourself. And no, we're not talking about those friendships where everything has to be content. We're talking about the reality that friendship can be hard when you're constantly struggling financially.
