Haven’t yet tried delta.dev yet, but this looks right. I built a version of this for myself and have been using it on SlateDB for the past week. Collaboration is natural next step.

K, played with it a bit. Close, but not the same. My app (Perch) is a mashup of Github, Codex Desktop, and VSCode. IMO, mine is better. I didn't bother with collab yet (using GH for that right now).

Spice Cayenne has 3 tiers:
1. A SQL metastore (SQLite/Turso) for metadata
2. Immutable Vortex files on local disk or S3 Express
3. An LSM-style level-0 tier that absorbs small writes

Running an experiment to completely vibe SlateDB from scratch using Luna 6 max. So far the main finding is Luna is basically free. Ran all night, 0% change in usage limit. Wish it had Ultra. :(

So it's still controversial that hand-writing code is over? Software engineering isn't going away: you still need to architect and design, or you'll LLM yourself into an unmaintainable pile of slop. But lines of code I typed myself this year? I can count them on one hand.

This fall in prices is one of the reasons I'm skeptical of pro-worker AI arguments for shifting the direction of innovation. Cheap and ubiquitous Astra/Fable+ level intelligence is baked in within <2 years. It will be complementary to some tasks and a substitute to others, so the labor market implications are non-trivial. But I don't see how a non-existent pro-worker AI alternative competes.
One of the rare cases where we were able to write a paper and publish it before Epoch could write a report :)
