The Republic pushed me to change how I approach Web3 research.
For one Eastern Campaign, I researched Shardwood as a pre-TGE project: checked primary sources, modeled token unlocks and dilution, published the findings in the Discord Research Forum, answered a substantive critique, and later turned the work into a public X research thread with visuals.
What I learned is simple but important: a good researcher should never turn missing data into confident assumptions. If FDV, circulating supply, audit status, or deployment details are unknown, say they’re unknown.
That makes the work more useful — and easier for other people to challenge.
If you’re new to The Republic, start by choosing a quest that matches your skills, produce something verifiable, save your proof, and participate in the discussion instead of only submitting the minimum.
Disclosure: I’m participating in a rewarded The Republic community campaign, and this post may receive VP if approved.
