Sad to see BitMex go. Some thoughts:
BitMex pioneered 100x perps in crypto back in 2014. Delivery futures existed before then, making Fridays hectic.
BTC deposits only, one chain only, withdrawals only once per day, through a multi-sig wallet. The constraints that seemed inconvenient kept them unhacked.
All four founders pled guilty to BSA violations a month before trial, after 18 months of fighting it. $10m fine each, home confinement. No one went to prison.
However, their business didn’t survive the “war on crypto” from the Biden admin.

最近在惠州面基了很多五湖四海的粉丝，很多都是在金融交易圈的小白。
他们大多二十五六岁到三十出头，男生占七成，基本都是这几年从老家或者三四线城市出来，在深圳、广州、东莞这些地方做销售、做运营、做供应链，或者干脆就是远程办公的程序员、跨境电商小二。工资不高不低，8000-15k之间，租的房子一个月2500-4000，攒不下什么钱，但手机里各种交易软件的图标排得满满当当。
见面基本都是在自己的别墅小院，这里很安静，可以种种菜，练练功，周末搞搞烧烤开Party！
第一次见面大概率是这样的开场：
“哥，我主要是做原油和黄金的，最近在跟一个美盘的信号群，胜率还行，就是有时候止损老被扫。”
或者
“哥，我现在主要玩合约，合约比现货刺激多了，我上个月爆了一次仓，亏了四万三，后面又补了五万回去，现在刚回本……”
我一般就笑着点头，然后问一句：
“你现在账户里还有多少钱是能接受全损的？”
十个人里有八个会愣一下，然后小声说：
“……大概就剩个三四万吧，生活费我都另外留了。”
还有两个会硬着头皮说“十来万”，但眼神已经开始躲闪了，因为他们知道我接下来大概率会问：
“那你妈知不知道你拿这么多钱在炒币炒合约？”
这句话一出，空气会瞬间凝固三秒。
有个叫小远的男生，26岁，之前在惠州仲恺一家电子厂做品质，去年裸辞出来全职，家里给首付在老家买了套小房子，他老婆去年刚生完小孩。他跟我见面那天穿了一件很新的李宁卫衣，手上却戴了个八九千的iPhone 15 Pro Max。
他很认真地跟我掏心窝子：
“哥，我是真的想翻身。我爸妈那辈人一辈子打螺丝，我不想我儿子以后也这样。我现在每天看盘到凌晨三四点，眼睛都花了，但我觉得再坚持两年，做到100万本金，后面就能稳定每月10%……”
说到这里他停住了，因为他看见我没接话，只是看着他。
过了好一会儿，他自己先笑了，笑得有点难看：
“是不是听起来很天真？”
我没直接回答，反问他：
“你老婆现在一个月工资多少？”
“……5800。”
“你每个月给她生活费多少？”
“……四千吧，有时候三千五。”
“那你爆仓那四万三，是从哪里补回来的？”
他低头抠手机壳，过了十来秒才说：
“刷了好几张信用卡。”
那天后来他问我能不能带带他，我只回了一句：
“可以，但你得先答应我一件事——从明天开始，连续三个月，每月最多只能拿工资的20%来做交易，亏光了也别补。”
他沉默了很久，最后点点头，说“好”。
但我知道，大概率他坚持不到一个月。
我现在每次约人见面，都会先在心里默念一遍：
别当圣母，也别当镰刀，就老老实实把最脏的那层真相摆在桌面上，能听进去几个是几个。
金融交易市场是距离钱最近的地方，但又是距离心最远的地方，需要的是你的10年如一日深耕专业认知的意志力跟勇气，对的周期、对的圈子、对的策略工具都缺一不可！

🇮🇷 Iran is now considering a wild move: only letting oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz if the cargo is paid in Chinese yuan ditching the US dollar for most trades.
This would be a massive shift as ~80% of global oil is priced & traded in USD.
If Iran pulls it off, it’s a direct middle finger to the petrodollar system.
If Iran starts demanding yuan for passage through the world’s most critical oil choke point, that’s not just economic warfare, that’s trying to rewrite global finance mid-war.
