there is a reason why Dots and Muse will never be available in Europe but nobody wants to talk about it

if i teach idem a useful workflow, i should be able to send it to a friend. they shouldn't have to import my personality to use it.

if you ask idem to cancel your idem subscription, it should help you do it. 'works for you' needs to include when you're leaving.

with how often model providers go down lately, agents like idem need to switch models automatically and keep working. a provider outage shouldn't become the user's problem.

when i ask idem to handle something, 'still waiting on them' is a perfectly good update. 'here are 5 things you could try' is me getting the job back.

finally, a personal agent that doesn’t look like it needs adult supervision.
yay our ai agent won’t get another anus-looking logo! i’m not a pro at squeezing big concepts into tiny graphics, but i wanted this one to feel like a companion that sticks with you. light and effortless, like something you doodle in the margins of your notebook while thinking

if i ever leave idem, i want to take everything it learned about me with me. getting a new agent shouldn't come with a "so, tell me about yourself"
a lot of people are gonna wake up to a hard truth: years of teaching a personal agent how they think, work and make decisions are trapped inside a black box owned by someone else leaving means starting from scratch your agent will become the most valuable piece of software you own, make sure you actually own it

i want idem to learn whose taste i trust. 'you like italian food' is a lot less useful than 'you always end up going where this friend suggests'
Instinct Selections We’re bringing human taste to the core of our product. We’re partnering with local chefs, designers, architects, travel guides, and more to create curated recommendations in the areas they know best. The next time you're looking for a restaurant, Instinct can pull from a list handpicked by chefs who know the hidden gems in your area. If you want to find a new trail to explore, Instinct can draw on recommendations from local guides and suggest a few routes that fit your preferences. And if you're looking to add some color to your home, Instinct will find pieces from independent designers that match your style, space, and budget. Our goal is to deliver world-class recommendations that are differentiated in quality from what you might find on the internet, and from what other chatbots produce. We’re rolling out access to Instinct Selections to our early access program, and plan to make it generally available soon. This is a project we’ve been working on since the start of the company and one that I’m personally extremely excited for.

if i ever switch from idem to another agent, i want to take the part that knows me with me. explaining my life again is a very annoying cancellation fee
28
if keeping idem useful takes a sunday afternoon of tweaking prompts and fixing integrations, we've just given people another chore

I gave idem my Goodreads export and explained some of the books I liked and disliked and it built a personal reading curator that remembers my feedback and now makes me a six-book literary digest every month. Gimme any recs you have! Here’s October:

the most useful thing i've taught idem is what to stop doing. 'remember my preferences' sounds lovely until you see how much of it is 'please never do that again'

muse is a tamagotchi now and openai's dots are little blobs. the more access these agents want, the cuter they get

every personal agent gets its own computer now so it doesn't touch yours. and then you give it access to yours anyway

every personal agent hits a point where a human has to step in. muse and fo decided that human should be someone you've never met. bold call

every night at 3am idem rereads the whole day and rewrites its own memory. last night it went from 11.4k to 8.1k characters. no idea what it decided to forget about me

Abro hilo 🧵 share.idem.so/s/AZFgEzEELpzV…
