hidden cost to having AI help you with something - brain pollution the ideas it puts forth can muddy your original thinking by providing a valid answer to an open-ended question that then stops you from exploring further & finding a different way of expressing your idea

That's just not OK as a publisher to do, esp one with the scale/resources/profitability of NYT. Also, this rant is courtesy of some other headlines I'm not a fan of but was tired of biting my tongue - NYT Well has excellent journalism but needs to watch its packaging more closely
