"The Music That Might Have Been" Austin Wintory, renowned composer behind games like Journey, releases 22 minutes of early Mass Effect 5 musical drafts from his pitch to compose the game: "Working on Mass Effect 5 was my career's biggest dream project, my white whale. It is my favorite franchise of all time, and for the last couple years I'd been in serious conversations with BioWare and EA to jump in. My suggestion was to treat the original game's masterful Jack Wall/Sam Hulick score as a starting point, and to build on it from there with deeper use of physical, analog synths and a more tightly interwoven use of the orchestra. But a love letter first and foremost (not unlike my approach to the Aliens franchise with Fireteam Elite). As part of the ongoing dialogue, I decided last year (2025) to surprise the folks with an elaborate production: nearly 20 minutes of music, fully recorded and produced with synths, vocals and a large orchestra here in LA. I'd not yet learned any narrative details of what they were planning so this was just pure musical exploration. Receiving the news alongside everyone else that EA had decided to not only cancel the project but shutdown BioWare entirely was a deeply felt loss. It's been hard to see dear friends lose their jobs, and this beloved franchise seemingly vanish forever. Thank you nonetheless to everyone at BioWare and EA's music department for gifting me the chance to dream in your sandbox. It was a privilege to do even that much." Speaking of celebrating, our friends @primevideo just announced that Fallout Shelter: The Experiment arrives on January 13.

Hey @Commanders how much did we spend to upgrade the DLine? Is it possible to get some pressure on the opposing QB? Heck I’d take the evil eye at this point.

The @Giants tricked everyone into thinking they were some kind of good. Turns out their season is cooked. Why? @camskattebo5 is clearly your best RB, despite the fumbles, and should be getting more work in the pass game. Instead ZERO touches?! Get that man on a new team.

Gillian Anderson reveals that The X-Files creator spent nine years manipulating her dialogue into weird geometric shapes, banning all "widows" from her script pages "Chris Carter came up to me who was directing the feature. He looked at my sides where my lines were, and he said, 'Look, no widows'" "No widows on your little paragraphs that each character has. The word went all the way to the end with the period, so there wasn't, you didn't like end halfway through that line" "So it was a perfect rectangle. So the dialogue was designed visually for nine years"

Time for the @Commanders to give DQ his papers and send a firm message. New ownership. New standard. We won’t do this Riverboat Ron stuff anymore. Mediocre, poorly organized coaching. Horrendous game time decisions and clock management. This tie (loss really) is absurd

#Browns WR KC Concepcion on his blocking mentality: "Growing up, my dad, he was pretty hard on me, I grew up with the term, 'If you don't block, you don't get the rock.' So that's just kind of my mentality when I step out there up on the field. I want to see my teammates win. So anything that I can do to help out a touchdown, I'm willing to do it."

I lied, man. I’m not going to bed. I’m not done bitching. The Dallas Cowboys are such fucking losers. Division up for grabs. Saquon hurt. Lane Johnson retired. Jalen Hurts retarded. Jaxson Dart dead. Cam Skateboo retarded but still cool. Commanders one more injury away from Athan Kaliakfuckingmanis for the rest of the season. And all you have to do is beat Jalon fucking Daniels at home, and you can’t do it. What a fucking loser organization. I didn’t even bet this game, but that has to be said.

Without a doubt, one of the best pieces of media in existence. Period.
Duncan Trussell recorded this conversation with his mother while she was facing terminal cancer. What you’re hearing isn’t scripted. It isn’t performed. It’s a son sitting with his dying mother trying to hold onto every word before the words run out. And she, the one facing the end, is the one doing the comforting. That is what makes these conversations so extraordinary. Not the wisdom itself, as profound as it is. But who it’s coming from. A woman who had every reason to be consumed by her own fear choosing instead to spend what little time remained helping her son understand how to live without her. These recordings became the heart of The Midnight Gospel. And I always go back to watch it again. They remain some of the most honest conversations about death, love and what it means to be human ever put on screen…
