I started Song of Solomon after finishing The Bluest Eye and Sula, and I'm honestly gagged. Toni did not play about this writing shit AT. ALL. I've read a lot of books, but the satisfaction of reading hers is unmatched. It's almost like when people say they would listen to somebody sing the telephone book lol. I'd read her write about a telephone book.
