The past two weeks have been some of the toughest I’ve faced. I suffered a retinal tear in my left eye and had to undergo surgery, which put me on a 5-week recovery timeline.
I’m devastated that I won’t be able to join my brothers on the field Friday nights, but I’m grateful that I’ll be cleared for contact in 3 weeks and able to return mid-season.
Even though I’m not playing right now, I’m still actively open for recruitment, constantly keeping the young guys encouraged, and taking as many mental reps as I can from the sideline. This isn’t the way I wanted my season to start, but I’m staying locked in and making the most of every day until I can get back out there. 🙏🏽🏈
