I’ve studied $ADBE, $DUOL, $WISE & $DSY. Personal account. Not financial advice.

Madrid, Comunidad de Madrid
For all the talk about AI and Chess, one of the more important $DUOL changes is boring: its nine most popular language courses now reach B2. If Duolingo wants to become a real learning platform, course depth matters more than feature count.

One detail in the Topaz deal I think matters: its Neurostream tech can run complex AI models on-device, not just in the cloud. For $ADBE, better local inference could mean lower friction, lower compute dependence and more AI inside existing workflows.

Premiere on Android is free, with no login and no watermark. That’s a pretty different funnel for $ADBE: remove friction at the edge, then monetize generative credits and storage later. I like the direction.

SYSTRA + $DSY is more interesting than the press release sounds. Virtual twins moving from products into rail and infrastructure widens the lifecycle opportunity. Now I want to see whether these projects turn into recurring 3DEXPERIENCE revenue.

$WISE’s £405M buyback sounds bigger than the pure capital return. Roughly 40% of the shares repurchased are earmarked for employee equity awards. Still useful, but I care more about net share-count reduction than the headline buyback number.

The part of $DSY I’m least comfortable with isn’t the product. It’s capital allocation. ArisGlobal costs ~$1.8B upfront for ~$175M of 2026 revenue. A deep moat doesn’t make >10x sales cheap. This deal needs to earn its keep.

This is the $DUOL AI datapoint I care about more than chatbots: 20,500 new learning skills published in Q1, vs 7,100 per quarter in 2025. AI is turning content production from a bottleneck into something that can scale much faster.

Adobe just closed Topaz. The interesting bit isn’t “another AI acquisition”: Topaz stays standalone while its models move into Firefly and Photoshop. $ADBE looks increasingly willing to own the workflow without insisting on owning every model.

Nearly half of $WISE FY26 net revenue came from outside cross-border fees. The transfer is still the wedge; the economics are broader now. That also means I’d be careful treating today’s interest contribution as permanent.

Assuming they go into other verticals I think more people will homeschool their kids

The most ambitious $DUOL claim I heard this month wasn’t 100M DAUs. Luis thinks Duolingo can match a 1:1 human tutor on learning outcomes in 2–3 years. If they get close, the market they’re competing in changes completely.

This one actually made me laugh 😂 , similar to dot-com era, when any company adding “.com” to its name could send the stock flying.
$NKE if they announce AI Data Centers

$ADBE AI-first ARR is now >$650M. Impressive. It’s also only about 2.4% of Adobe’s $27.5B total ARR. Both things can be true: AI monetization is real, and the core still matters far more than the AI headline.

One $WISE number I think deserves more attention: Business cross-border volume grew 39% YoY in Q1, versus 21% for Personal. The consumer app gets the brand recognition, but Business is quietly becoming the faster-growing volume engine.

Australian Missile Corporation picked CATIA + SOLIDWORKS on 3DEXPERIENCE for guided-weapons engineering. That’s a pretty good example of the $DSY moat: in systems where traceability and validation really matter, the software is much more than an interface.

Wise launching a real chequing account in Canada matters more than another FX feature. $WISE is trying to become the primary account, not the app you remember before a trip. If that works market by market, the relationship with the customer changes completely.

Duolingo says its internal current-user retention metric is at an all-time high of 84%. That’s why I’m more interested in the experimentation engine than any single $DUOL feature: hundreds of tiny A/B tests can compound into a much stickier product.

$DUOL giving every active Airtel customer in India a year of Super for free looks almost backwards if you’re optimizing for bookings. If the goal is habit + distribution first, though, it makes a lot more sense.

Claude can now make docs, slides and designs without leaving chat. That’s exactly the $ADBE risk I care about: Adobe can lose the interface and still win, but only if its tools remain the execution layer those agents keep calling.

The part of $WISE I'm watching most closely right now isn't growth. It's regulation. The OCC denied its US trust-bank charter application in July. Wise plans to reapply, but this is exactly where a regulatory moat can become a regulatory risk.
