After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI? I wonder if given any position it would be able to give you the next probable best move? Probably not as well as stockfish, but I wonder how far you could go by giving it context etc. You'd essentially be trading brute force computation with pattern matching.

agent driven workflows with a sprinkling of deterministic tools are a fools errand. especially with subsidization fading, expect to see deterministic workflows with a sprinkling of agent nodes, doing what they’re actually good at.
