Thrive participated in a pre-TGE leaderboard competition hosted by Kaito in March. We earned a leaderboard spot in April. Around that time, a new “Yapper economy” was taking shape across X. It brought some thoughtful, ecosystem-valuable content. But it also included a wave of repackaged, often AI-generated posts, shared with the expectation of token-connected rewards. For some, that expectation extended to Thrive, even though no such commitment was ever made. Growing frustration has recently been directed at our team around this. I want to address it with clarity and respect: Thrive is here to reward real value. That’s why we’ve spent nearly four years building a Proof of Value consensus mechanism that measures outcomes, not activity. It’s also why @thriveprotocol has been successfully deployed across leading crypto ecosystems to drive measurable results. To build something that honors communities and community members creating real value, we’ve taken more time than most to get it right: We didn’t rush out a token. We didn’t farm attention. We didn’t lock ourselves into reward systems that don’t work, for our community or for crypto. Instead, we focused on building infrastructure that lasts - in collaboration with some of the most trusted leaders and communities in the space. That includes my ongoing conversations with Yu Hu, CEO of Kaito, about how we can partner to evolve this space in a way that supports long-term value creation (we’ll share more when the time is right). Because there’s been confusion, I want you to know: Thrive deeply appreciates community members who show up with insight, creativity, and care. You are the people we want to build with, and reward, as we take our next big steps. This includes early contributors and those who participated in an earlier experimental points program. But we won't reward engagement farming. And crypto won’t thrive if that becomes the norm. And remember: Thrive isn't new. It'll be four years in September. We support ecosystems like Base, Optimism, Polygon, and Hedera. We’ve helped fund many of the best projects and founders in crypto. While others pulled back, we moved forward, with intention and care. We know who we are and where we’re going. We’re not a hype machine. That’s just not us. We are a value machine, though. And we will reward those helping us build value. We will do it fairly and proportionate to the clearly articulated needs of the ecosystems we serve, including our own.
